About AYA Collective

Our Strategy: Building Sustainable Health Systems for Ghana and Beyond

AYA Collective is a locally led African public health organization working to strengthen health systems and expand access to quality, affordable care. Founded and led by African health professionals, AYA operates through a dual-wing model that brings together a non-profit organization and a mission-driven social enterprise. This structure allows us to deliver impactful public health programs while building sustainable revenue streams that fund long-term change.

From 2025 to 2030, our focus is Ghana. Working closely with the Ghana Health Service and national stakeholders, we are strengthening systems, improving service delivery, and expanding access to essential care across the country. At the same time, we are laying the groundwork to scale our model across West Africa, using lessons from Ghana to inform regional growth.

How We Work

AYA's approach is built on five core priorities that drive sustainable impact

01
🏥

Strengthening Health Systems

We support national and regional health systems to expand access to maternal, newborn, reproductive, and primary health services. Our work includes provider training, service delivery improvements, commodity access, and integration of new models of care.

02
💰

Sustainable Financing for Impact

Our social enterprise arm generates revenue through pharmacies, clinics, and health products. These resources are reinvested directly into public health programs, helping reduce reliance on external funding and ensuring long-term sustainability.

03
📱

Technology and Data for Better Care

We integrate digital health systems, electronic medical records, and data-driven decision-making across our work to improve service quality, efficiency, and accountability.

04
🎓

Capacity Building and Partnerships

AYA works alongside government, health workers, and partners to build skills, strengthen institutions, and share knowledge. Our goal is to support locally owned systems that can sustain progress over time.

05
❤️

Quality, Trust, and Community Engagement

We prioritize patient-centered care and strong community relationships. By delivering reliable, affordable, and respectful services, we aim to build lasting trust and increase access to care nationwide.

🔮

Looking Ahead

By 2030, we expect to see stronger health systems, expanded access to essential services, and a sustainable model that continues to reinvest in public health. The progress made in Ghana will serve as the foundation for regional expansion across West Africa in the years that follow.

Our Commitment

AYA Collective is committed to delivering practical solutions that improve lives today while building systems that last for generations.
